Get Involved.

Help us keep the Eastern Bluebird in the Bluegrass!  No experience required. Monitoring the bluebird trails provides our volunteers with an opportunity to help restore the populations of Eastern Bluebirds in Kentucky. Monitoring the nesting boxes gets you up and close to these gorgeous little birds. We meet weekly on Saturdays and Sundays during nesting season to walk the bluebird trails. Please let us know how to get in touch with you. We don’t send spammy emails or messages.

Here are some things you can expect:

• Fresh air
• Exercise
• Camaraderie with a friendly group of bluebirders 
• Learn from an experienced trail monitor
• Identify the nests and eggs of cavity nesting species
• Learn more about the personalities of cavity nesting birds 
• Learn how to become a bluebird landlord in your neighborhood
• Observe and record nesting activity in the nest boxes along the trail 
• Help manage risks to the native birds
• Have some fun!
